A Pool Membership grants you access to our Aquatic Center and you have the option to meet with an exercise specialist for no additional cost! Our educated and certified exercise specialists can create an individualized aquatic workout program to help you meet your needs and reach your goals (appointment required).
Class Levels:
Level One: Low impact classes for those with stiff and achy joints and balance challenges.
Level Two: These classes work at a sustained cardio pace for at least 20 minutes and use pool toys to improve strength and flexibility.
Level Three: These higher intensity classes use pool toys to increase aerobic endurance and strength.
Level 1
Gentle, range-of-motion exercises for stiff and achy joints, lots of water walking and a few exercises to improve balance and stability.
Level 2
A fun, low-intensity water aerobics class with strength, balance, and flexibility exercises.
Level 3
Wear a flotation belt that keeps you vertical in the deep water as you participate in a class that has no impact but a tremendous amount of intensity and challenge.
Level 3
Cardio, core, strength, balance or flexibility; You never know what you’re going to get.
Level 3
Combination of aerobics and strength training.
Pool shoes are required for all pool members. They must be worn while walking to and from the pool and locker rooms. Lap swimmers may reserve lap lanes for a 30 minute or 60-minute time frame (Call to reserve). Please limit Spa usage to 10 minutes at a time.
A Wellness Membership grants you access to our Wellness center; this includes cardio equipment, strength equipment, stretch room, and Wellness Classes. Along with these you have the option to meet with an exercise specialist for no additional cost!
Class Levels:
Level One: For those with stiff achy joints and balance challenges. These classes are primarily done sitting in a chair.
Level Two: These classes work at a sustained cardio pace for at least 20 minutes, all while getting on and off the floor.
Level Three: For those who wish to challenge themselves physically in these higher intensity classes.
Level 1
A class that can be modified and focusses on improving daily function through strength, flexibility, and balance/stability exercises.
Level 2
A general conditioning class that works to improve cardio, core, strength flexibility, and balance/stability.
Level 2/3
This class takes place in the welnness center with our new Free Motion Strength equipment. Each month experience a new circuit that challenges your balance and improves functional strength.
Level 2/3
Cardio, core, and strength. You never know what you’re going to get.
Level 2/3
This class uses boxing gloves and bags to give you full body aerobic and strength workout.
Level 3
Cardio class that uses a step throughout.
Our educated and certified exercise specialists can take you through an assessment (appointment needed) and then create an individualized workout program to help you meet your needs and reach your goals. If you do not wish to have a personalized workout program, our exercise specialists can take you through equipment orientation (for experienced exercisers) so that you feel comfortable and confident working out in our facility.
Rock Steady Boxing is a non-contact boxing-inspired fitness program that is designed to attack Parkinson’s Disease at its neurological weakpoints.
Rock Steady Boxing at SCS Lima is just one affiliate out of 800+ Rock Steady Boxing affiliates. Rock Steady Boxing is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to fighting back against Parkinson’s Disease.
Research has proven that high-intensity exercise like Rock Steady Boxing can help fight against the symptoms of Parkinson’s. A Rock Steady Boxing class includes non-contact boxing, strength, cardio, balance exercises and much more.
Rock Steady Boxing at SCS Lima serves participants of at all ages and stages of the disease.
